Kazem awakens one morning to the sound of shots being fired in the desert. As soon as he gets a chance, he heads off to the dunes to investigate. He discovers a tiny orphaned gazelle, but he wonders how the baby will survive the desert and its dangers all alone. He can't leave it there to die, but he can't take it to the village either. He thinks of another solution that takes him and the gazelle on an adventure.
